Jarvie

Robert Riddle Jarvie began making simple candlesticks around 1900 in Chicago. These striking designs, very simple and with little to no ornament became very popular as he was acclaimed in the Craftsman Magazine and the International Studio. He exhibited at the 1904 St. Louis Exposition and opened his shop in 1905. He created up to 17 different designs of sticks as well as wonderful handmade bowls, jars, sconces, boxes and trophies, many applied with Prairie School patterns.
